Child Safety Standards

Volto is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all users. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward any content or behavior that endangers the safety and well-being of minors, including any form of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE).
1. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited on Volto and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to the relevant authorities:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in any form
- Content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors
- Grooming, solicitation, or attempts to exploit minors
- Any content that facilitates trafficking or abuse of children
2. Age Restrictions
Volto is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. Users under the age of 13 are not permitted to create an account or use the Service. By registering, users confirm they meet this minimum age requirement.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will promptly delete it and terminate the associated account.
3. Reporting Mechanisms
Volto provides in-app tools that allow users to report content or behavior that may violate these child safety standards. To report content:
- Use the report button available on any poll or user profile
- Long-press any chat message to delete it (your own) or flag it for review
- Contact us directly at support@voltoapp.com with the subject line “Child Safety Report”
All reports are reviewed promptly. Content confirmed to violate our child safety standards is removed immediately and the responsible account is permanently banned.
4. Law Enforcement Cooperation
Volto cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies and complies with all applicable local and international regulations regarding child safety. In accordance with applicable law, we report confirmed cases of CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and to relevant local authorities.
5. Content Moderation
Volto employs a combination of automated systems and manual review to detect and remove content that violates our child safety standards. We continuously improve our detection capabilities to stay ahead of emerging threats.
Image uploads — profile photos and survey cover images — are automatically scanned using Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch before being stored or displayed. Images flagged as containing nudity, sexual content, or graphic violence are rejected and deleted immediately, and are never made public.
Poll chat — real-time messaging attached to each poll — includes several built-in safeguards: participation requires the user to have already voted on the poll, accounts must be at least 24 hours old to send messages, and a per-poll rate limit prevents rapid message flooding. Moderators can delete any message and permanently ban accounts without notice.
